We welcome suggestions for workshops, interested business contacts or service partners. Financial support of the Chinatown Empowerment Center is also welcome. As a program of the Chinatown Fresno Foundation, all contributions are tax-deductible

Solid economic development right here in Chinatown

The Chinatown Empowerment Center (CEC) will offer a collection of workshops, seminars and consulting to benefit small business, entrepreneurs and job seekers. The initial schedule will be published by the end of January, with classes beginning in February.

Chinatown deserves a prosperous business community, building the businesses that exist and welcoming new ones.The CEC will support the business community by assembling resources and engaging existing businesses, budding entrepreneurs and job seekers in the training they need to thrive.
 

Located in the Chinatown Fresno offices, service partners will provide classes, workshops and consulting. Topics might include, but are definitely not limited to:

  • Business accounting

  • Brand development

  • Building customer loyalty

  • Business finance

  • Computers for business

  • Customer service skills

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Job search techniques

  • Marketing

  • Property management

  • Resume writing

  • Social media

  • Store design

 

Business resources include a working knowledge and ongoing communication with all business and property owners in Chinatown.
